It is with great sadness that the Midland Counties Athletics Association announces the death of Norma Blaine over the weekend. Norma was a former President of the Midland Counties Athletics Association and the Midland Counties Women’s Athletics Association (when a separate body existed). In addition, Norma had an exceptionally long history as a volunteer with the Amateur Athletics Association where her roles included Founder Life-President and Trophy Trustee. At present no details of a Funeral/Service of Remembrance are known but they will be publicised when known if the family wishes to invite her friends from athletics.
