DERBY RUNNER – MIDLAND CROSS-COUNTRY RELAYS – ALDERSLEY STADIUM – WOLVERHAMPTON – SATURDAY 23RD OCTOBER 2021

The Midland Counties are pleased to announce that the Derby Runner Midland Cross-Country Relays will take place at Aldersley Stadium, Wolverhampton on Saturday 23rd October 2021 and entries are now available on the Sportsoft website at the following link:
Online entries will close on Thursday 14th October 2021 and no changes to entries will be available after that date..
Team Managers are reminded that any athlete who runs on the day must have been pre-entered before entries close on Thursday 14th October 2021 to facilitate this clubs may enter 3 times as many athletes as are in a team. So if you enter one team of under-13 boys (3 in a team) you can enter 9 names on the system. Should your club enter 3 teams in the under-13 girls race then they can enter 27 names but all teams competing on the day must be made up with athletes who have been entered on-line before the race closing date.
The event will involve relays for under-13 boys and girls, under-15 boys and girls and under-17 men and women. The Young Athlete races will be 3 legs of 3 kilometres and the entry fee is £18. There will be a Senior Ladies and Master’s Ladies relay of 3 legs of 6 kilometres (2 laps of the 3 k course). The Ladies entry fee will be £21. The Senior Men and Master’s Men’s relays will be 4 legs of 6 kilometres and the entry fee will be £28.
This event is two weeks before the National Cross-Country Relays at Mansfield on Saturday 6th November 2021 and is a great way to give your teams experience of running a cross-country relay and could help team managers decide on their final team line-up for the National Cross-Country Relays
