CAROLYN FRANKS TO RECEIVE AN AWARD AT THE NATIONAL CROSS-COUNTRY

The City of London (owners of Parliament Hill and Hampstead Heath) has asked the English Cross Country Association (ECCA) for nominations of those who have given a lot to the sport of Cross Country over many years but remain in the background so they may offer a small gift to such officials and volunteers on the occasion of the ECCA Championships at their home venue on Saturday 26th February 2022. Nationally, there have been five nominations and one nominee is Carolyn Franks from Cheltenham and County Athletic Club. The award will be presented to Carolyn during the afternoon of the Championships. Carolyn has been involved in the sport over very many years in a variety of roles from selling programs and helping with presentations at Midland Cross-Country Championships to helping to arrange cross-country league fixtures and coaching cross-country at club level. Carolyn has worked even harder since the passing of her beloved husband of many years Cliff (who himself was active at club, county and area level over many years).

Carolyn, many congratulations from the Midland County Cross Country Association on this award.
